You: The Ultimate Bullsh*tter

Unicorn Poop Rainbow

Here’s the smelly truth:

Got time for gossip?  Then you’ve got time for goals.

If you can complain?  You can campaign.  For yourself, your business.

Checkin’ email all day long?  Man, what if each “refresh” was a set of bodyweight squats?

Surfin’ social media?  You could be writing instead.

Escaping with Netflix?  Books, brah.

When you’re sitting, you could be stretching.

Worrying?  Walking.

Road rage?  Try podcasts.

Booze could always be water.

Pretzels from the pantry could be fruit from the fridge.

Look:

I’m not asking you to be perfect.  Or imply that I am.

In fact, I break every rule above.

But I’m aware of it.

And it bugs me.

And because of that, I make smarter choices more often.

But one thing I won’t do?

Is continue to fall for my own bullsh*t.

“There’s not enough time.”

“It’s too hard.”

“Too much competition.”

“It’ll take too long.”

“I just like food too much.”

“But it’s so much fun to slip into sweats and watch TV.”

“Everyone talks trash – that’s life.”

“Ya gotta live a little, right?”

All bullsh*t.

Lies we tell ourselves so we can continue doing what’s easy, familiar, comfortable.

And… once you realize this?

From there, sooner or later, you look in the mirror… or into your savings… f*ck, into your soul… and you say, “Enough’s enough!”

And you start making simple substitutions.

And you improve.

And it feels good.

So you keep goin’.

And you find the balance that’s optimal for you.
