Mark Manson net worth: Mark Manson is a blogger, author, and internet entrepreneur with a net worth we estimate at $2 million dollars.
Mark graduated from Boston University in 2007 with a finance degree. But he never put it to use. Instead, Manson started a blog about partying and picking up chicks. He’d later turn that into a dating advice info publishing business. Which led to his first book, Models, which teaches men how to pick up women through honesty – and not those slimy PUA tactics.
At this point, Manson was making some money, but he was far from a millionaire. He knew writing was his calling, but decided to exit the dating space and launched MarkManson.net, where he’s been blogging ever since. There, millions of monthly visitors check in daily for articles on psychology, personal development, culture, happiness, passion, goals, life choices, and more.
Manson monetizes his popular website by offering a subscription that includes: online courses, a video library, audio recordings, members-only articles, commentary on past work, and exclusive events and meetups.
Last year, Manson published his second book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. I listened to the audiobook a few weeks ago and loved it. It’s about what’s important in life, and why, and how to stop getting steamrolled by all the little, sucky things that you’re faced with each day.
If you’re having a hard time being yourself in business, Mark Manson is the man to study.
And if you’re a blogger or journalist or someone who uses words to make money on the internet, Manson’s subscription service is awesomely executed. Smart and simple. It’s worth checking out. You could model it if (a) your free stuff’s good enough to create a demand for more, and (b) selling ad space or getting readers to click on your affiliate links ain’t cutting it.
Speaking of multimillionaire website owners, have you read my article on Arianna Huffington yet? (No? Get to it then.)
